2012 is going to be an exciting year here at Target Reviews. This week we’ll be breaking new ground in two important areas.

For starters, the Omron Body Fat Analyzer Review is our first review of a physical product

As many of you know, I’ve been a runner for the last sixteen years. Most runners are fanatics about monitoring heart rate, blood pressure, weight, and body fat. However, body fat monitors that report body fat percentages have always been problematic for me. I’ve tried various “scales” that supposedly report body fat. But for the most part, they proved unreliable and before too long were relegated to simple scale status.

Sure, I can always have my body fat percentages calculated at Urban Active where I’m a member. But this lacks not only convenience but also flexibility as I don’t go to the club every day.

So when Josh Parker suggested I take a look a the Omron Body Fat Analyzer, he certainly perked my interest. If Josh feels this product is worth taking a close look at, then maybe there’s something to it. And who better to write the review than Josh himself.

And this gets us to the second piece of new ground that we’ll be breaking this week. The Omron Body Fat Anaylzer Review is our first review done by a guest reviewer. This is a very exciting development here at Target Reviews because the idea of guest reviewers will open new opportunities to review products and services which ordinarily wouldn’t be possible.

Before we get things under way with this review, I would like to say something about the manufacture. Omron is a great company that makes great products. I was diagnosed with COPD several years ago and purchased the Omron Ultrasonic Nebulizer. This nebulizer is battery operated, whisper quiet and can even be used on an airplane. So naturally, when Josh said the name Omron he got my attention.

So hit the gym or go for a run. We’ll be waiting right here for you when you return.

As most of you know, I’m very picky about recommending courses – particularly in the area of affiliate marketing.

So many of these courses are nothing but old outdated information, re-packaged to fool the public. I’ve even caught people that I highly respected selling pure junk. Anything for a buck.

I honestly can’t understand how anyone can recommend junk to an existing customer. Are these people just plain stupid, or are they that desperate?

Suppose you owned a restaurant and had an established clientele. Mr and Mrs Smith come in for dinner two or three times a month. Are you going to serve them old, rancid meat or wilted vegetables just to make a few extra nickles and dimes? Sounds kind of ridiculous doesn’t it?

But this is exactly what people do in the “make money online” field. They get you on their list, and then they spam your inbox daily peddling snake oil. Again, I just don’t get it.

Well anyway, I’m very cautious of products in the “make money online” area and have generally shied away from this market. I’d rather keep my loyal readers than make a quick buck.

But every once in a while an opportunity comes along that deserves attention. And Gadget Riches is one such opportunity.

Now, I’m NOT going to tell you the course is perfect. But what I will tell you is that for a few dollars you can learn how to get into markets before your competition even knows there is a market!

I’m also NOT going to tell you that the course is all inclusive. Gadget Riches will expose some very powerful concepts. But it will be up to you to discover these concepts and make them your own. So don’t expect to be spoon fed. And some of the most important concepts are quite subtle – so pay attention!

So, get a cup of coffee and sit back and discover how you can enter the field of “emerging markets”.

If you’ve been following our series on personal development audio programs from Nightingale-Conant, then you’ll know why I listen to these programs daily while driving my car, working in the yard, and exercising at the gym.

Through this series, we learned that the programs Think And Grow Rich and Lead The Field form the basis for all enduring riches.

We also learned in Your Secret Wealth that each of us possess at least one, and most often multiple, instant jackpots that are in our grasps.

But life doesn’t always follow the course we plan. There will always be adversity in our lives. And it’s how we deal with that adversity that will dictate how we come out the other side.

So what do we do when life deals us lemons? We turn to Zig Ziglar’s classic See You At The Top to learn how to turn those lemons into lemonade! Zig teaches us that “Sometimes adversity is what you need to face in order to become successful”.

Through See You At The Top you’ll discover:

The secret to getting everything you want in life

How to be paid more for what you’re doing

A way to get answers to questions you previously thought were unanswerable

Simple, easy-to-make changes that help you feel better about your life — every day

How to shield yourself from the negativism that surrounds us all

Seven steps you can take to get the most out of life

The harvest you reap by accepting yourself — reduced tension, better communication, and improved relationships

How to put your subconscious to work to get more of what you want, including improved health and greater success

Zig Ziglar sums it in his basic principle: “You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help other people get what they want”.

In Think and Grow Rich“ we learned that “All great riches start with an idea” and that burning desire will help us draw upon the higher source for ideas and inspiration.

Earl Nightingale in ”Lead The Field“ takes the philosophy introduced by Napoleon Hill and adds his own secret ingredients. He teaches that the magic word in life is “attitude”. He shows us that it’s not enough to expect great riches; you have to do something to deserve them. This of course is at the core of Napoleon Hill’s philosophy – always provide more and better service than what you’re paid.

Jay Abraham in You Secret Wealth builds upon what you’ve learned in the classical works of Napoleon Hill and Earl Nightingale by taking a pragmatic look at how to make these ideas and moments of inspiration pay off.

A Brief Background of Jay Abraham: The nation’s highest-paid marketing consultant, Mr. Abraham regularly works marketing miracles for his clients. During his career, he has worked with thousands of businesses in hundreds of separate industries. His clients run the gamut from small business to giants such as Coldwell Banker, Prudential-Bache, Dun and Bradstreet, Citbank, and Sears Roebuck & Company. Mr. Abraham specializes in successfully identifying and ethically exploiting a company’s hidden, marketable assets to create windfall opportunities for his clients.

The Premise Behind Your Secret Wealth: Jay Abraham believes that each of us possess at least one, and most often multiple, instant jackpots that are in our grasps. The problem is recognizing these opportunities and acting upon them.

How often have you gotten an idea and said “wow, I could make a fortune on that”, only to continue about your day and later forget the idea? Then months or years later you see someone else implementing YOUR idea and making a fortune.

Fact is, we have all had this experience. Those moments of inspiration where ideas pop into our brains, those unexplained hunches, usually come without warning. Napoleon Hill’s and Earl Nightingale’s classic works help us to plant seeds of inspiration.

But doing something with these hunches, seeing the “instant jackpot” and how to harvest the financial and personal wealth attached to our ideas, is the subject of Your Secret Wealth.

Born in 1921, Earl Nightingale was a child during the Great Depression. By 1933 Earl, his mother, and his two brothers were living in Tent City.

It was these humble beginnings that caused Earl to become consumed with the ideas of success and wealth – why some people were so poor while others had an abundance of riches.

At age 17 Earl joined the Marine Corps to be a radio announcer. He was at Pearl Harbor in 1941 when the Japanese attacked. He was one of 12 Marines aboard the USS Arizona that survived.

After the war, Earl’s career in radio announcing eventually landed him in Chicago where during the early 1950s he became the voice of Sky King – the hero of a radio adventure series. From 1950 to 1956 he hosted his own daily commentary program on WGN where he arranged a deal that also gave him a commission on his own advertising sales. By 1957, he was so successful, he decided to retire at the age of 35.

In the meantime Earl bought an insurance agency where he used his talents to motivate his sales force. The salesmen quickly became addicted to his weekly inspiration talks. When Earl decided to take a vacation and would be away for a period of time, his sales manager urged him to put his weekly talk on an LP record. The result later became the recording entitled The Strangest Secret, the first spoken word message to win a Gold Record by selling over a million copies.

Earl’s success as a radio personality grew over the years. His program Our Changing World became the most highly syndicated radio program. In 1985 he was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame. He also received the Napoleon Hill Gold Medal for Literary Excellency and the Golden Gavel Award from Toastmasters International. Lead the Field is the culmination of Earl Nightingale’s life’s work.

Earl’s enlightenment came from Napoleon Hill’s masterpiece Think and Grow Rich. If you haven’t studied that program, please do so BEFORE you venture into Lead the Field.

What would you do if the richest man in the world asked you to go to work for him for 20 years without pay?

Napoleon Hill and his brother were matriculating to Georgetown University hoping to become lawyers. Having no money but the ability to write, Napoleon agreed to pay their way by writing stories about successful men and selling them to a magazine. His first assignment was with the great Scottish-American industrialist Andrew Carnegie.

The 73 year old scotsman gave Napolean three hours. When the three hours were up Mr Carnegie said: “Now this interview is just beginning. Come out to the house, stay all night, and after dinner we’ll take up the interview again.”

He kept Napoleon there for three days and nights, talking about the need for a new philosophy: “What we need is an economic philosophy for the man of the streets that will enable him to make use of the know how gained by men like myself over a lifetime of experience.”

At the end of the three days Mr. Carnegie put the question to Napoleon: “Now look here. I have been talking to you for three days about the need for a new philosophy. I’m going to ask you a question about it. If I commission you to become the author of this philosophy, give you letters of introduction to men whose experience you will need in collaboration with yourself, are you willing to put in twenty years of research – because that’s how long it will take – paying your own way as you go without any subsidy from me? Yes or no?”

There were many times in Napoleon Hill’s life where he had faced difficult problems and difficult decisions. But never had he faced one more embarrassing than that, because when Mr. Carnegie put that proposition to him, Napoleon’s hand was in his pocket fiddling with the little money he had there – just about enough to get back to Washington. And here the richest man in the world wanted Napoleon to go to work for him for twenty years without pay!

Napoleon started to do what most of us would have done under the same circumstances. But something wouldn’t let him open his mouth until he got a hunch that if Mr. Carnegie kept him there for three days it was for a purpose. A man with Mr. Carnegie’s reputation for picking men certainly didn’t pick Napoleon to do a job like that unless he knew Napoleon could do it.

Napoleon said “Mr. Carnegie, I not only will accept the commission sir, but you may depend upon it that I will complete it!”

Mr. Carnegie answered: “I like the way you ended that sentence up. I think you’ll do it. You have the job.”

Over the next twenty years, Napoleon interviewed some of the most successful men of his time. People such as Thomas Edison, Alexander Graham Bell, George Eastman, Henry Ford, Elmer Gates, John D. Rockefeller, Sr., Charles M. Schwab, F.W. Woolworth, William Wrigley Jr., John Wanamaker, William Jennings Bryan, Theodore Roosevelt, William H. Taft, and Jennings Randolph.

The philosohpy that Napoleon Hill developed was publish as “Think and Grow Rich” in 1937. The book has sold over 10 million copies and is still amongst the top 10 selling business and success books ever written. Many people that study these philosophies feel the book is “one-of-a-kind” and there will never be another like it.

In the tradition of Siskel and Ebert, we adopted the “thumbs up/thumbs down” rating system for Target Reviews for both it’s clarity and simplicity.

Note: If you’re too young to know who Siskel and Ebert were, your loss! Click on the link and read about two icons of the movie review industry.

When we reviewed WordPress Crash Course, I was tempted to modify the rating system to allow for the exceptional. The course was so well organized and presented that giving it just a “thumbs up” didn’t seem enough. Nevertheless, I stuck to my guns and resisted the temptation. Little did I know what was in store for me with this next review.

Now this next product fell so far out of the range of “thumbs up/ thumbs down” we had no choice but to do something – well different. It’s not really a “rating”, but rather an “award”.

Additionally, we’ve decided that this award should carry with it some special benefits for homeless children. Yes you heard me right – homeless children!

And one last note. If you thought our mission with Target Reviews was just a bunch of fluff, then you best be wearing your seat belt and hold on to your hat because you’re in for a ride! I guarantee you’ll find this review eye opening …

Have you ever thought about building a website? You don’t have to be a Fortune 500 company. There are a lot of reasons why people – just like you – have websites:

Hobbies: Do you have a hobby that you’re passionate about? Building a personal blog around your hobby can be both fun and rewarding. It brings you in contact with other people in your hobby, not just down the street but from around the world. And who knows, maybe someday your blog will open the door to new business opportunities.

Family: Do you have family members scattered all over the country and around the world? A family website can bring distant family members closer together. Consider a blogging site for your family to display pictures and allow discussion between family members. And you can make your site “private” for only your family to see!

Business: Do you have a small business? A website can get you listed in Google (if you do it right). Who do you know that uses the phone book anymore?

Realtors:Ok, so you work for a large realtor that has a website. Put together your own website to showcase YOUR talents and get a Google listing!

Insurance Agents:Don’t think people go to the Internet to buy insurance and/or find an insurance agent? Think again!

Contractors: Carpenters, plumbers, electricians, flooring people. Get a listing in Google and get jobs locally!

Online Marketing:You’ve heard the stories, and I do believe you need to take them with a “grain of salt”. Be realistic in your expectations and watch out for peddlers of snake oil and bright shiny objects! If you learn the fundamentals, there are literally dozens of ways to make money with Online Marketing. But regardless of the approach you take, eventually you’ll want a website.

And the list goes on and on!

Whatever your reasons for having a website, you’re probably thinking “I’m not a programmer! I can’t build a website!”. Well, wake up and smell the roses! If you can use a computer and type an email, then you can build a website using a FREE program called WordPress.

This week we’ll review WordPress Crash Courseby Crash Course Training. Does this course live up to its’ claims? Can it really have you building websites without turning you into “geek of the year”?

Having been involved with web development and design since 1998, I’m often asked the question “How do people make money online?”.

The Internet may well be the last great opportunity that we will see in our lifetime. The $750 million paid to affiliate marketers last year is just a preview of what is coming. And I’m sure that the methods and techniques that worked five years ago won’t be working in five years from now. But isn’t that the way it is in everything? The world is moving at the speed of thought and we must learn to adapt if we are to survive.

To get into Internet Marketing, you have to learn the business. My advise is to get a solid course that will teach you the basics and give you in-site into the advanced concepts. A word of caution, don’t spend hundreds of dollars on a high price course right out of the gate; and certainly don’t get trapped by the new “coaching fad” that will set you back thousands. Simply learn the basics and then as Niki says “Just do it!”.

The idea is to get on board and start learning now while you can still get a foothold. Today, it’s David versus Goliath, and David is winning. But many of the Davids of today will be the Goliaths of tomorrow, and the rules will inevitably change. So time is of the essence!

Over the coming months Target Reviews will be looking at dozens of courses and tools that will help you get into this business. Some will be just plain bad, and it’s our job to alert you to these peddlers of snake oil and bright shiny objects. Others will be so-so. But amongst all the rubble there will emerge some truly great products that you can trust; our job is to help you find those.

The first review in our series is CPA Instruments by Ritoban Chakrabarti. A lot has been written about Ritoban. And most of the factual data is well known. After earning his computer science degree and passing up a chance to attend graduate school for an MBA, Ritoban pursued Internet Marketing and by age 22 obtained “guru” status while earning over $22,000 per month. That’s Ritoban in a nutshell.

CPA Instruments is Ritoban’s video course that teaches the Internet Marketing techniques that consistently makes him five figures per month as an affiliate marketer.

We hope you enjoy the review and be sure to leave us a comment and tell us what you think.

In 1983 I was introduced to ”Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill. Though this book is now 74 years old, it’s wisdom is as true today as it was in 1937.

In 1998 I purchased my first audio tape program “Lead the Field” by Earl Nightingale. The program was produced by Nightingale-Conant, a word leader in self-development for over 40 years. The second audio program I bought was of course “Think and Grow Rich”.

Since then, I have purchased dozens of Nightingale-Conant’s audio programs. I listen to them in my car and while I’m out running/jogging. Ok, so it’s more of a fast walk – but at least I’m still out there!

When I got the concept for Target Reviews, one of the first niche products that came to mind were the Nightingale-Conant audio programs. These programs represent the type of quality that I want to offer readers. Quality that will help us stand out from the other so-called review sites. And of course being associate with a company such as Nightingale-Conant adds instant credibility.

One night while having a glass of Cabernet and working on Target Reviews, on a whim I emailed the company and filled out an affiliate application. Hey, why not? What’s the worst that can happen?

So I sat and waited, fully expecting them to turn me down because Target Reviews is a start up venture. To my surprise, I received an email on Friday. After reviewing my qualifications as a programmer and web designer, they took a look at Target Reviews and approved the application.

This is truly an amazing opportunity for Target Reviews. I sincerely believe in Nightingale-Conant’s programs and look forward to writing reviews of many of the programs which I have listened to over and over – year after year!

I hope you decide to find out for yourself why I made Nightingale-Conant’s programs a part of my life.

Watch this web site for reviews of these incredible audio programs.
